What is an association?
An association is a special form field that can be used to link two activities. This allows dynamic data to be used between activities: information from one activity can be automatically displayed in another without having to copy content manually. If the data in one of the linked activities changes, it is also automatically updated in the other.
Connected activities also appear under References so that the relationships remain traceable at all times.
Automatically associate parent activities
When you create a new activity (child) from another activity (parent), you usually want to create an association between the two. To avoid having to do this manually each time, you can enable automatic association.
If you do not specify a template to restrict the association, all activities from all templates can be assigned automatically.
